My name is Edward Yen, and I haven't been at Creator's Road Studios for very long. However, in that short time, I’ve already learned so much about the art of filmmaking and had the chance to create my very first film, Forever Friends.
Currently, I'm preparing for my next film, Dinosaur and Me, which will begin production soon. Making films takes a long time, so we have to be patient. One of the first things we do is write a short story about what the film is going to be about. Every story needs a problem to solve and a surprise twist at the end. We also determine who the good guys and the bad guy are, along with the props and materials we'll need to bring the story to life.
I believe Creator's Road Studios is a fantastic place for anyone, especially neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism, who want to explore various forms of art, such as film, drawing, photography, sculpture, puppetry, and acting. All the staff are incredibly kind, always ready to help, listen, and support your ideas.
Thank you so much to everyone at Creator's Road Studios for giving me the opportunity to be a student. I've learned so much already, and I know there's more to come. No matter what happens, we always need to stay positive!
